i love me some avocado and love me some more guacamole! it is yummy as a dip for chips, a topping on quesadilla or a dollop with tortilla soup, it is creamy good!
since guacamole with chips can lead to endless dipping, my new favorite tortilla chip to eat with the guacamole is Trader Joe’s Flaxseed Tortilla Chips. 1 serving (about 7 chips) has 4 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein. after all, if you’re gonna gonna be bad, you might as well get some good!
over the years i have tweaked and tweaked my guacamole recipe and i love it more and more. my advice for making guacamole is to not add salt. since you usually eat guacamole with something else, the other item — be it chips, soup or meal — will have its share of sodium. therefore, cut your salt intake by not adding salt to the guacamole. enjoy!
